The Managing Director of PEP, and one of the original founders, Bruce Woodman has had a wide range of responsibilities in RE over the past 15 years.
Bruce has been a director of over a dozen wind companies owned by Nichimen Corporation of Japan and NEG Micon of Denmark. He was Managing Director of the UK based joint venture between the two corporations, and was Chief Operating Officer of the overall holding company, M&N Wind Power BV. He was responsible for the establishment in the UK of the first ISO 9001 quality registration for wind ‘Project Analysis, Development and Design’ in the world, and its subsequent update to include Operation in 2002.
He has worked within both the manufacturing sector, and the developer/owner/operator sector of the wind industry. He has successfully partnered with small developers and global players alike.
Within PEP, Bruce has been working closely with financial institutions and trade players on merger and acquisition strategy, as well as partnering. PEP has qualified potential investments in large European and US portfolios of assets amounting to several thousands of MW in total. The company has been responsible for the selection and deployment of extensive due diligence teams, including lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, and carefully chosen technical specialists. PEP has been closely involved in debt structures including non-recourse, limited-recourse, lease, and mezzanine.
Recently, PEP has been requested to apply its experience and skills to newer RE technologies. The company is now actively engaged in marine technologies, biomass, and novel small wind systems.
