Mark is an energy professional with over 8 years’ experience in the Engineering industry, fulfilling a variety of roles across a number of specialisms and achieving an FdEng qualification in Manufacturing Management. He also holds a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Exeter, specialising in environmental law, whole energy systems and energy policy. He has a strong grounding in the hydrogen energy industry, following a project investigating public perceptions of the hydrogen economy in the UK, as well as forecast economic scenarios of green and blue hydrogen systems.
His experience includes technical support and quality assurance responsibilities in the maritime sector on behalf of UK MoD contractors. He possesses strong management and inter-personal skills, previously leading high-level warranty and product recall projects in the UK and internationally. He also has a solid understanding of environmental management systems including ISO14001, having co-ordinated its adoption in a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation.
He is currently leading an innovative European Regional Development Fund project, alongside an academic institution, investigating the potential of hydrogen to decarbonise the marine sector.
