Pure Energy Wind
PEP raised formed a new venture called Pure Energy Wind in 2012 to create value by bridging UK Feed-In-Tariff scale wind project developers’ skills and financing gaps to completion.
In total PEP sponsored seven co-developers who needed capital, expertise and increased firepower.
Six of these developers were then successful in receiving planning consents, despite negative UK government intervention during the development process.
PEP then went on to build four of the consented projects for a UK Private Equity fund under extreme time pressure. These were delivered on time, to budget and quality.
Over the following two years a further six similar projects were built for a large infrastructure fund manager under increasingly extreme time pressure.
Again, each was on time, to budget and quality.
On completion of construction this same fund manager continued to rely on PEP to deliver Operating Asset Management services for each asset as well as relying on PEP's advice and management of DD during the acquisition of a further 15 projects.
Today the same fund manager continues to depend on PEP to manage the assets of a 21 project portfolio, over long term contract.
