Waste Recycling Group

We helped Terra Firma’s investment in Waste Recycling Group. This saw a number of project opportunities developed and contributed to the subsequent profitable sale of part of the business, and the flotation of Infinis.

We were asked by Terra Firma, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms, to help assess the renewable energy prospects for their investment in Waste Recycling Group. The group had several hundred sites throughout the country, and we analysed each of these to identify a target list for development. Working as part of the WRG team we helped to pull together a group of internal and external specialists to take the leading projects forward. Our work included design, economics, planning, and turbine selection. This saw a number of project opportunities developed and contributed to the subsequent profitable sale of part of the business.

The remainder of the business, complete with PEP-screened projects, was later floated on the London Stock Exchange as Infinis, now one of the UK’s leading generators of renewable power.
