Company History

1989

Pure Energy Professionals

Renewable Energy specialist advisory, formed.
1990s

First farm scale biomass systems and small wind turbines.
early 2000s

Formed JV with Danish manufacturer (now Vestas) and managed all of its UK business.

Helped enter US re-power market & Canada through JV with Japanese Trading House, now Sojitz Became joint market leader, with over 2,000 turbines in service – developed through acquisitions, repowering and greenfield developments.

Helped Terra Firma create Green business within Waste Recycling Group. Became Infinis, London Stock Exchange listed (Main Market).
2005

Partnered with UK & Canadian investment managers to form a new company called Renewable Energy Generation. Listed on London Stock Exchange AIM market, raising £103m.
2006

Formed a Joint-Venture with a Start-Up company in Used Cooking Oil to Power called REG Biopower, grew the business.
2006

Partnered with a Canadian developer, grew the business, made successful exit to International Power/GdF (now Engie).
2008

Green Peninsula

Formed a specialist renewable energy advisory business to deliver carbon savings to large corporates.
2008

Pure Energy Ventures

Formed subsidiary to provide FCA regulated corporate finance advice.
2010

PEP forms a Joint-Venture with ESB Novus Modus and Savills called Airvolution Energy. Grew the wind development business, ESB then invested to buy 100%.
2014

Pure Energy Wind

50:50 Joint-Venture with 22 High Net Worths, built business with sale of 10 construction projects to Private Equity, and further sales to Aviva Investors.
2017

PEP helps Aviva Investors acquire additional 16 wind projects to add to the the original Pure Energy Wind portfolio sites.
2019

PEP sets new direction for renewable energy deployment with Green Hydrogen initiatives.
2023

The Hydrogen Boat Centre

PEP launches The Hydrogen Boat Centre alongside its project partner, the University of Exeter.
